The margay is a neotropical arboreal wildcat widely distributed in Brazil. Since 2014, it has been classified as Vulnerable on the National List of Endangered Species. Instituto Chico Mendes de Conservação da Biodiversidade (ICMBio) is listed as Near Threatened by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Morphological studies of wild felids are essential for understanding their ecological and functional adaptations to their environment. Anatomy is a fundamental tool for investigating aspects related to species biology and evolution, particularly interactions with the environment, diet, and reproduction. After fixation with a 10% formaldehyde solution and filling the arterial system with a colored latex solution according to standard anatomical technique, dissection was carried out to observe the arrangement of the collateral branches of the aortic arch. The aortic arch curved to the left, giving off two branches: the brachiocephalic trunk and the left subclavian artery. The left subclavian artery originated from the aortic arch, below the level of origin of the brachiocephalic trunk, passing obliquely, to the left, through the ventral surface of the esophagus. The left subclavian artery gave rise to the following arteries: left internal thoracic, vertebral, costocervical trunk, and superficial cervical. The brachiocephalic trunk gave rise to the left carotid artery, the right carotid artery, and the right subclavian artery, which in turn gave rise to the following arteries: right internal thoracic, vertebral, costocervical trunk, and superficial cervical. The Margay's aortic arch fits type II.
