MIXTURE OF FEELINGS: REFLECTIONS OF THOSE WHO SURVIVED COVID-19

Objective: to understand the feelings attributed to the COVID-19 pandemic by individuals who have experienced the disease. Method: qualitative study that used Symbolic and methodological Interactionism as a theoretical framework, the Data-Based Theory, constructivist aspect, carried out in a medium-sized municipality located in the northwest region of Paraná. Data collection took place from April to November 2021, through individual interviews mediated by technology. The informants were 19 individuals hospitalized by COVID-19. The analysis followed the open and focused coding proposed by the method. Results: the results demonstrate how the COVID-19 pandemic was redefined by individuals hospitalized for the disease, and this moment led to a greater appreciation of life and behavioral changes. Conclusion: the feelings revealed a new perception of life, given the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, with changes in routines, feelings and readaptations, which generated the development of coping strategies.
