Resumo

Bidens sp. é amplamente utilizado no tratamento de malária e tumores através de soluções hidroalcoólicas. Apesar das evidências existentes, os estudos sobre o seu potencial farmacológico ainda são insuficientes. O objetivo foi investigar a atividade biológica e fitoquímica in vitro de Bidens alba var. radiada. O caule apresentou as maiores concentrações de fenólicos totais, seguido pela raiz e folha. Por outro lado, o maior número de flavonóides totais esteve presente na folha, seguida do caule e da raiz. Os extratos alcoólicos apresentaram maior poder antioxidante contra o DPPH. A atividade hipoglicêmica por inibição das enzimas α-glicosidase e α-amilase apresentou resultados satisfatórios, com valores acima de 65% e 80%.
