RECIDIVA EM TECIDO MOLE DE CERATOCISTO ODONTOGÊNICO APÓS TRATAMENTO CIRÚRGICO DE LESÃO INTRAÓSSEA

O ceratocisto odontogênico tem sua origem etiológica a partir de restos celulares da lâmina dentária. Surge mais comumente em região posterior de mandíbula, acometendo ligeiramente mais o sexo masculino na terceira e quarta década de vida. Existem poucos estudos na literatura sobre recidivas em tecido mole de ceratocistos odontogênicos. O presente estudo tem como objetivo relatar um caso de recidiva em tecido mole de um ceratocisto odontogênico intraósseo. Inicialmente, a lesão localizava-se na maxila esquerda, envolvendo o dente incluso 23 com extensão desde o ápice do dente 21 ao 27. Após 2 anos de exérese da lesão primária em centro cirúrgico, sob anestesia geral, observou-se lesão bolhosa de diâmetro aproximado de 1 cm, em gengiva inserida na região vestibular entre as unidades dentárias 22 e 24. Desta vez, o tratamento consistiu na excisão local com curetagem e saucerização com broca cirúrgica do osso adjacente, sob anestesia local. O exame anatomopatológico confirmou tratar-se de ceratocisto odontogênico, contudo, com localização em tecidos moles. O paciente vem sendo acompanhado clínica e radiograficamente há 3 anos após a segunda intervenção cirúrgica sem evidências de recidiva.
